InfraGard is organizing a Sector Interest Group (SIG) to support our coordination strategy with the WRTAC.  This continues our ongoing efforts to increase "Situational Awareness" and a common Information Sharing Framework in the NCR through our WashingtonDCFIRST.org initiative.  Furthermore, to elevate the vigilance and crisis response by our 1000+ local vetted members in the Nations Capital.

The Briefing will include how your private sector company may qualify to participate with the DHS Fusion Liaison Officer Program in collaboration with the WRTAC in the NCR.

Currently, you will find the WRTAC Open Source Daily Brief under the “Resources” tab in the Secure InfraGard Portal. WRTAC provides our partner agencies and local jurisdictions with Open Source Intel, relevant situation awareness and current news articles relating to terrorism, homeland security, critical incident response and public safety.

The National Capital Region consists of eleven local jurisdictions, two states and the District of Columbia. There are 231 Federal departments and Agencies.

The Metropolitan Washinton Fusion Center is designed to provide a system through which government, law enforcement, public safety, and the private sector can come together with a common purpose and improve the ability to safeguard our homeland and prevent criminal activity through local and regional analysis of data.
